After reviewing an Improvement Action in What, you can either accept or reject it.
A decision is final. Once an Improvement Action is accepted or rejected, it is removed from the list of available What answers.
Accept an Improvement Action
Select Accept to continue with accepting the proposed Improvement Action.
Before confirming the action, Pulse shows the proposed implementation details.
You can optionally:
- assign an Owner for the Improvement Action,
- set a Start date,
- set an End date.
Pulse also provides a proposed list of implementation steps.
Review the steps
Before accepting the Improvement Action, you can review and adjust the proposed steps.
You can:
- drag and drop steps to change their order,
- select + to add a new step,
- select an existing step to reveal additional actions,
- select Edit to change the step,
- select Delete to remove the step.
When editing a step, you can update:
- Title
- Description
- Deadline
- Owner
When the Improvement Action and its steps are ready, select Accept to confirm the decision.
After confirmation, the Improvement Action is removed from the list of available What answers.
Reject an Improvement Action
Select Reject to continue with rejecting the proposed Improvement Action.
Pulse asks you to select a reason for the rejection.
Available reasons include:
- the action has already been carried out,
- the action is not feasible,
- the expected effect is too small,
- there are no resources available to carry it out,
- another reason.
Select Cancel to return without rejecting the action.
After selecting a reason, select Reject to confirm the decision.
The rejected Improvement Action is removed from the list of available What answers.
Final decisions
Accepting or rejecting an Improvement Action is a one-time decision and cannot be undone.
